Fried Gulf Oysters review by Lauren

The chefs have a mastery of fried food- light, crisp, perfect (I've tried other places, always come back here). The salt and pepper fried oysters are my go-to. Fried crisp but still juicy- not dense hockey pucks like other places. I've never had a bad meal here. Five stars ⭐️ out of 5 every time.

Fish Camp Shrimp review by Druthb00

One of the most unique appetizers in the area. It's become a family favorite; and by that I mean my 7 year old regularly orders it as his meal. There's a crispy grit cake covered with a flavorful tomato broth, copious amounts of shrimp and capers, topped with plenty of feta cheese. I don't even like grits, but the fried cake is a really nice texture change in this dish and it's delicious. Most seafood joints have all the the typical fried fish apps and it's hard to find a place that has as wide a variety of app choices as Hog Island.

Local Salad review by Stan

Our visit was delightful, as always. Alicia made certain that we were seated and introduced to our service attendant, Tim, a remarkably efficient young man from Massachusetts. The meals are delicious and the staff continues to complete our positive experiences.
